There’s something strange afoot over on Reddit: Sony San Diego are running something of a social experiment with gamers. Weird, yeah? The “experiment” is pretty simple in its concept: Sony San Diego has listed 1000 private access codes for the PS4 game Kill Strain. Redditors are free to take whichever code they wish. The catch is that you have to leave your username next to the code so that others know not to waste their time by trying to enter that code. Simples.
It’s a nice concept and so far it seems to be going down quite well with the Reddit PS4 community. However, if you’re a European then you’re out of luck. According to the developers, the practice is only available for North American PS4 owners, but they note that its a work-in-progress and that if you just so happen to have a SCEA account in English – but don’t reside in the States – it may work for you. Worth a try, eh?
It’s worth noting that if you’re on a mobile device you won’t be able to edit the google document table, but some have still found the humanity to post in the reddit thread that they’ve taken a code.
It’s nice to report on something a little different for a change, and it’s better still to see the gaming community actually being nice to one another rather than spewing obscenities. How lovely.
[Update: The Kill Strain servers will go live a little later today. Hooray!]
