Splatoon 3 Return of the Mammalians Explained
In Splatoon 3 Return of the Mammalians, the player controls an Inkling or Octoling accompanied by their Salmonid companion, Smallfry. After encountering Craig Cuttlefish, the player is then invited to join the New Squidbeak Splatoon as its newest Agent 3.
Upon accepting the request, the player will receive the Hero Suit, an outfit that is returning from the two previous entries in the series. This time around, the suit has two variants, one of which is more stripped down than the other.
After receiving the Hero Suit, the player must explore Alterna’s Crater and fight against an army of suspiciously fuzzy-looking Octarians. Along the way, the player will receive support from Splatoon’s Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie, and a robotic assistant named O.R.C.A.

Splatoon 3 Return Of The Mammalians: Leaked Story Details
While not announced prior to the Splatoon 3 release date, there were already leaks that provided insights into the more surprising details of the game’s story mode. The main antagonist and final boss of this campaign is none other than Mr. Grizz, who ventures into outer space in an attempt to cover the earth in a giant fuzz ball and return control of the earth to mammals.
Eventually, the player’s objective is to follow Mr. Grizz into space and defeat him in order to preserve the cephalopod-ruled world, with Smallfry growing into a gigantic Hugefry in the process. But before then, they must overcome other bosses that stand in their way. Most notably, this line-up of boss battles includes the members of Deep Cut: Frye, Shiver, and Big Man.
