Here’s everything that Splatoon 3 players need to know about Mr. Grizz.
Splatoon 3: Who Is Mr. Grizz?
In both Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, Mr. Grizz is the owner of Grizzco Industries. He employs all of the Inklings and Octolings who participate in Salmon Run, providing tutorials and communicating virtually with them in the process. In addition, on rare occasions, players can use Mr. Grizz’s own personal weapons in Salmon Run. These include the Grizzco Blaster, Grizzco Brella, Grizzco Charger, and Grizzco Slosher.
Although he is a prominent part of the Salmon Run experience in Splatoon 2, Mr. Grizz doesn’t actually physically appear in that game. Instead, he communicates through a wooden carving of a bear with a fish in its mouth without ever revealing his true appearance.

Prior to the release date of Splatoon 3, details about the game’s story mode leaked online. This footage revealed that Mr. Grizz plays a role in the “Return of the Mammalians” plot line, in addition to his continued role as the overseer of Salmon Run Next Wave.
For the first time, Mr. Grizz appears in his true form, revealing himself to be a giant, brown grizzly bear with splotches of a purplish ooze on different parts of his body. Even more significantly, Mr. Grizz is the final boss of the Splatoon 3 story mode. His mission is to give mammals control of the earth once again. In order to stop him, the player will have to engage in a larger-than-life battle in outer space.
