Sundays are without question one of the most boring days of the week, at least for a video game news writer. There’s not much going on and all the PR people are taking the day off before they go back to their desks on Monday morning, hence the lack of decent news pieces.
So, what’s a fella to do on a Sunday? Shop! Or at least that’s what a few of The Games Cabin’s finest get up to on the Sabbath. Every Sunday we’ll bring you a decent deal that we think is worthy of your attention. Obviously it’s not always going to be to everyone’s liking, but hopefully we can help a few people pick up a decent bargain from time to time.
Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition $299.99 (Amazon.)
This week’s deal is from UK retailer Argos and it’s all about the Xbox One. The retailer is running a sweet promotion where you can get your hands on a brand new Xbox One and FIFA 16 for £229.99. Not bad, but not everyone is a FIFA fan. The real deal is where you add Ubisoft’s latest release for just £20 more. So for £249.99 you get an Xbox One, FIFA 16, and Tom Clancy’s The Division. Not a bad bargain, really. The only downside is that it’s for the 500GB model, not the superior 1TB edition. That being said, it’s more than easy enough to expand the storage of the Xbox One for cheap, so it’s a non-issue.
Bonus Offer:
For those who don’t mind waiting a few extra days for their goods to be delivered, you can get a pretty wicked deal from Amazon.de. The German branch of Amazon is selling an Xbox One bundle (500GB) with Forza Horizon 2, Halo 5 and Far Cry: Primal – Special Edition for the equivalent of £266. Bear in mind that this is a ‘Deal of the Day’ from Amazon Germany and it’s set to expire in approximately eight hours (23:00 GMT) so you’ll need to be snappy with your decision making.
