Yesterday (or very early this morning if you’re in Europe) Sony shocked the world by finally showing Team ICO’s The Last Guardian – though we saw that one coming a month ago.
Since the game got its big re-reveal at the Sony E3 2015 press conference we’ve been waiting patiently for retailers to start sending us emails about The Last Guardian pre-orders. They never came. Not a single email.
Until now, anyway. UK retailer game has kicked off the pre-orders by offering The Last Guardian for £49.99, not too bad a price when you consider the outlet usually tries flogging every major release for an eye-watering £54.99 (remember when games were £29.99 on release day?)
If you’re hoping for some choice then you’ll have to wait a while, unfortunately, as GAME is the only retailer currently taking pre-orders for the long-awaited PlayStation exclusive. Actually, Amazon UK and Amazon US are both taking pre-orders for The Last Guardian on PS3, but whether the game will even ship on the last-gen console isn’t clear just yet, so it may be worth holding off if you’re still rocking the last-gen hardware.
The Last Guardian will release sometime in 2016 but no specific time-frame was given. Our prediction: Christmas. We’re often right about these things, don’t you know…
