[Update] According to David Siller, one of the original producers of the Crash Bandicoot game, the video wasn’t meant to be part of a cartoon series. Instead it was supposed to be the introduction and ending of the Crash Bandicoot game, but it was never used. Interesting, eh?
Before Crash Bandicoot was handed over to Activision and left to die a slow horrible death, Naughty Dog’s first big hit was actually a very popular property and still remains a fan-favourite more than fifteen years later.
Three successful main games and a couple of spin-off titles propelled Crash Bandicoot into the spotlight and, as with all things that reach the dizzying heights of fame, there was a never-ending pit of money to be made.
Hence the god-awful video down below. The clip shows the introduction to the planned Crash Bandicoot Cartoon and if we’re honest, we’re quite glad it never came to fruition. Check it out and then head to the comments and let us know what you think of it.
