Fallout 76’s Flatwoods Monster is a hovering alien with his head encased in a purple helmet, glowing eyes, and a spacesuit-like costume. It is based on one of West Virginia’s folklore, and since Fallout 76 takes place in Appalachia, Bethesda has brilliantly added it to the game as a random encounter.
But even though players know that Flatwoods Monsters exist in Fallout 76, finding one is daunting as they have no particular spawn. Seeing that, many players want to learn where they can find Flatwoods Moster in Fallout 76. And that is where our guide comes in handy.
Where to find Flatwoods Monster in Fallout 76
You can find Flatwoods Monster in Fallout 76 during the “Queen of the Hunt” daily event that you can trigger via the Hunter’s Shack. And if you are tired of doing the said event, you can tackle the Raider Punk Ally daily event, Making Sacrifices, for a chance to find the Flatwoods Monster.
Other than that, the last option is to find the Flatwoods Monster out in the wild randomly. There are fifty-plus locations in Fallout 76 where the Flatwoods Monster has a 2.5% chance to spawn.
During our playthrough, we found the Flatwoods Monster in the southeast part of the map. Meanwhile, the subsequent encounter was in Pleasant Valley. But, finding the Flatwoods Monster via the Queen of the Hunt daily event is more manageable than looking all around Appalachia.
How to start the Queen of the Hunt daily event in Fallout 76
You can start the Queen of the Hunt daily event by interacting with Shelby’s Terminal at the Hunters Shack and selecting the “Upload Data” option.
Here is a map screenshot that shares the location of the Hunters Shack:
Once you start the Queen of the Hunt daily event, you will get three search areas on your map, go to each location, and you will find a Cryptid which you must hunt down. And since Flatwoods Monsters also come under the Cryptid category, they also spawn during the event.
While the spawn rate is not 100%, it is better than roaming around for that 2.5% chance of spawning it on a random location.
