Who is Greavard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? There’s certainly more than meets the eye with this canine creature, which is every bit as terrifying as it is lovable. Here’s everything Pokemon players need to know about Greavard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Who Is Greavard In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet?
Fittingly revealed about a week before Halloween, Greavard is a new Ghost-type Pokemon making its debut in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Normally, it spends most of its time resting underground, leaving only a small candle on top of its head poking out from the ground. Whenever it does jump out of the ground, it lets out a terrifying cry, although it doesn’t intend to startle anyone.
In fact, unintentionally inflicting misery seems to be one of Grevard’s greatest strengths. On the surface, Greavard seems eager to be man’s best friend, as the Pokemon is very quick to befriend humans. However, Greavard accidentally drains the life force out of people as it spends time with them. As a result, Pokemon trainers are encouraged to be wary of spending too much time around this adorable harbinger of doom.
Everything To Know About Greavard
Greavard is classified as the Ghost Dog Pokemon. It stands at 2 feet tall and weighs a surprisingly hefty 77.2 pounds. While little is currently known about its moveset, it is said that Greavard can shatter bones with a single bite. As a result, it is likely that Greavard will do much of its fighting with its oversized jaws.
In addition, Greavard gains access to Pickup as its Ability. With Pickup, Greavard can collect items used by opponents in battle and even find items outside of battle. As of now, it is unconfirmed if Greavard is a single-stage Pokemon or if there are others in its evolutionary line.
